What being
a fangirl means?
It means cry
night after night knowing you’re only one more.
It means
getting angry when your idol cares about everyone else but you.
It means
forgetting about you to do something to them.
It means
putting their happiness over yours.
It means going
through almost everything for them.
It means
skipping school or job and putting studies or job by side only to see them or
get something about them.
It means
saving money –and not always getting enough- to buy something about them.
It means
waiting hours, days, weeks, months or years for a new album, book, whatever.
It means
giving all of yourself and not always receiving something back.
It means
loving them even that they don’t know who you are.
It means
knowing that the chances you’ll ever met them are just a few and gets even
lower while they became more and more known.
It means
listening a lot of “lol, you’re idiot” and “lol, he/she/them doesn’t know you
exist” and even “lol, they’re not real” every single day of your life.
It means
getting hated on because of a commentary.
It means
getting involved in fights pretty often, even disliking it.
It means
being jealous of them when people that barely know them talks about them.
It means
getting sick really often.
It means
getting no sleeping because of excitement.
It means
sacrifice.
But even
that have all this things going on, being a fangirl is the best thing in the
world.
Why?
Because no
one will make you smile as easy as your idol will.
Because you
won’t find better friends than the other people on the same fan base.
Because
their story is an example.
Because
they are what makes you go through everything.
Because the
few times they show they do care
about you are the best moments.
Because
everything is worth it when you’re there, standing by their side. Or when you
are one step from getting the new book, or watching the new movie.
Because it
just is.
And even
that the bad things are more and happen more often than the good things –except
the friends-, when the good things happens, they are totally worth it, and has
more importance than the bad ones.
And only a
fangirl will understand this, but it was worth it writing this down because
somehow I know I’m getting something from here.
So yes, I
don’t regret at all being a fangirl!
